What are Earnings Reports?

EARNINGS REPORTS – Earnings Reports are filings made every quarter by public companies that detail the past quarter’s performance. A typical earnings report discusses net income, net sales, earnings per share, issues relative to financial health, performance against various financial and growth goals, comparisons to previous quarters, and so on. A company may or may not issue guidance on expectations for the future. Specific dates and times of earnings releases are published by the company ahead of time and can be usually be found online or on the company’s website.
