The experience buying fractional shares through Cash App was quick and easy. There are limitations on stocks or ETF’s you are able to trade which may cause some issues during a market downturn. You can tell this app was definitely designed for people who never have purchased stock before. I do appreciate that they try to educate the user before they buy stock but there really isn’t much information on what each individual stock or ETF is. The draw here is getting people’s feet wet and lowering the risk with being able to purchase a fraction of a share. I definitely would use it again but as major brokers begin to offer fractional shares for free, I wonder what that will do to Cash App’s business.
